The holiday season in Big Sky is one of the most special times of the year. Here are some fun activities that are taking place around Christmas and New Year’s in Big Sky.

Enchanted Forest

When: Now- March 30th Wednesday-Saturday

Where: Start at Big Sky Base Area

Travel to the top of Andesite Mountain via the Ramcharger ski lift to see the Enchanted Forest at night. The forest uses over 10,000 lights to illuminate a family-friendly walk through this magical place! The walk ends with a great outdoor fire.

Santa Visits The Huntly Lodge

When: December 24th, 7PM

Where: Huntly Lodge

Make memories that will last forever, Santa will be at the Huntly Lodge for pictures and reading T’was The Night Before Christmas.

Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade

When: December 24, 7PM

Where: Big Sky Base Area

Come and watch as skiers and snowboarders descend the mountain at night, illuminating their route with colored LED lights. Following the skiing, there is a fireworks display. This is a great tradition and fun to watch for the whole family.

Christmas Eve Service

When: December 24th 5 and 7pm

Where: Missouri Ballroom

Christmas Church services in the Missouri Ballroom of the Yellowstone Conference Center. Catholic Mass from 5 – 6:30 p.m. and a non-denominational service from 7 – 8:30 p.m.

Christmas Skiing With Santa and Mrs. Claus

When: Christmas Day

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be enjoying a day on the slope after a night’s hard work of delivering presents—find them at Mountain Village, Madison Base, or the Montage throughout the day.

Intermediate and above skiers can join Santa at the top of Swift Current at 1 p.m., and beginners can meet at the top of Explorer at 1:15. Santa will be in the Mountain Village base area for a meet + greet at 1:30.

New Years Eve

When: December 31

Kick off the new year in style this year. Big Sky Resort has events running all day. For all the info click here.

3-5pm: Apres in the base area

4-6pm: Live music in Montana Jacks

9:30-12:30: New Year’s Eve party

12am: Fireworks display
