Yellowstone National Park in the winter means fewer people, more snow, and closed roads. This winter paradise allows visitors to see the park in an amazing and unique way!

Traveling in Yellowstone in the winter is an exciting experience. It is important to know that the only entrance to the park is the North entrance, 90 miles outside of Bozeman MT. Other entrances are open to people via the use of snowmobile and snowcoach.

The Northern entrance to Yellowstone is located in Gardiner MT, it is a 90 mile drive from Bozeman and roads are open for visitors to drive to Mammoth Hot Springs Hotels and Cabins.

Snowcoach

All entrances to the park are open via snowcoach during the winter season. Snowcoaches are all terrain vehicles designed to travel through snow, there are many companies that provide tours and snowcoaches are the only way to access Old Faithful Lodge and Cabins. We recommend Yellowstone Fun for your snowcoach tour.
